Bio-data

Short Bio [Useful for Introductions in Talks] Ajai R. Singh M.D. is a Psychiatrist and Editor, Mens Sana Monographs, (http://www.msmonographs.org ). He has written extensively on issues related to psychiatry, philosophy, bioethical issues, medicine, and the pharmaceutical industry.
He has also authored a book on music and a book of poems (forthcoming). He is Vice-President, Indian Association of Private Psychiatry, Maharashtra State Chapter, and was Chairman, Mental Health Awareness, Indian Psychiatric Society (West Zone). He has earlier been a Senior Research Fellow of the WHO Collaborating Center for Psychopharmacology in India.
He is founder of the Mens Sana Research Foundation which publishes the Mens Sana Monographs (ISSN 0973-1229). He is also Founder President of Swara Sampada, a music organisation, and Mulund Medico Sports Club, a sports organisation. He is also President 2007-2008 of Rotary Club of Mulund Hills.

v     Undergone formal training in Hindustani Classical Music for more than 15 years from gurus of the Gwalior and Jaipur Gharana. Learnt ghazal singing from his late father.

v     Quiz Master and Chief Anchor of Rotary Sargam Phulwari [2004-2008], a Musical Melody Quiz of Rotary Dist 3170, a yearly four-hour full-length programme held before a capacity crowd of 1000 plus.
